Hall Family Poultry is taking reservations for hatching eggs.
Do to current supply, we can only sell 6 eggs per variety. They will be $35.00 per 1/2 Dozen postage paid. You may make your reservation via PayPal at jimahall@yahoo.com
Available this season will be the following:
Buff Orpington Bantam
We have brought together several lines that we traced back to J. Ralph Brazelton. Nicole calls these BOBs. She has won Best of Breed several times.
Black/Blue/Splash Orpington Bantams
We have two breeding pens. Pen #1 has a Majestic Lane Black male with a Blue and a Splash Dick Hortsman females. Pen #2 has a Spalsh male from Superior Farms and a Majestic Lane Black female. Our choice on the pens sent. The Black hen won Best of Breed at Crossroads (Junior).
Buff Wyandotte Bantams
These are Lou Horton line. Placed 2nd cock at Crossraods, getting beat by Lou.
Black Wyandotte Bantam
Our male is from Jerry Foley and is the Art Lundgren line. Our female is from Tennessee and is Mike Sayre line. We have high hopes for these. The pullet is a bit young, but should be laying in a few months.
More on this line of Black Wyandotte Bantams is available at www.showbirdbid.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=wff&action=display&thread=1689
Large Fowl
Buff Orpington
These are from Superior Farms (Britt, Bacon, etc). We have added some DiamondT stock. Very execllent type and color.
Black Orpington
These are pure Cecil Moore line.
Blue Orpington
We aquired our Blues from a friend. Their foundation eggs came from a forgotten source. They are nice in type, color and size. We have seperated the Blue pair and mated them each with a Cecil Moore Black to improve type and size.
Self Blue/Splits
These are a young pair of Black Splits. They should produce 25% Self Blue, 25% Black and 50% Black Splits. Their sire is a hinkjc Self Blue. Their mothers are daughters of a Cecil Moore hatched Black Orpington cock. We have already won Reserve Champion Large Fowl, Reserve Breed and Best and Reserve Variety at a 200 bird show with this pair. They beat their parents and "Samson" the Cecil Moore cock. We also were showing our Buffs. One of our Buff hens won Best of Breed and Champion Large Fowl.
We will place your name on the reservation list as soon as payment in full is received. You may also mail a check or money order to:
