Greetings,
All of you AOPF members in Texas bring those Orp's to the Bluebonnet Classic in College Station Texas on January 7th 2012 and let folks see them.
The class of 2011 Orp's looks really good walking around the yard here at Diamond T. But until a judge tells a clerk to carry it to Champions row it's just a well fed chicken. So if for no other reason show them and use it as a "yard stick" to measure the progress of your program. And to help with decisions for your upcoming breeding season.
I have had 5 Buffs, 1 black and 1 blue up feeding for this show. While feeding 1 day last week I had some others out on the yard. They were all around my feet so I picked up another really nice pullet and she felt so good I penned her to show. Well when I had ran out of single pens I had picked up another pullet and a cockerel so now I now have 10 prospective Orp's to choose from.
This is a really nice show sponsored by the Brazos Valley Poultry Club. So Ya'll come if you can.
